Projec Group GrenzRoutes
The GrenzRouten were established as a project of the EuRegionale 2008 in collaboration with the City of Aachen, the municipalities of Plombières, Kelmis and Raeren (Belgium) and the municipality of Vaals (Netherlands). The cross-border project group has continued its work since the establishment of the GrenzRouten hiking network and has been expanded to include the Vieille Montagne Museum (Kelmis) and the Pottery Museum (Raeren). The project group’s focus is on promoting the GrenzRouten as a tool for cross-border networking and communication regarding the hiking opportunities and cultural landscape in the tri-border region.
